i finally broke down and purchased a pinhole camera & this is one of the first shots from it. i chose to go with the with a leonardo 4x5 camera with a 3" focal length at f/250 [so it's a little bit wide angle]. this is a 6-9 second exposure.

i'm using this as part of my "portait of chicago" project. rather then just shooting the chicago skyline, i'm shooting well known sites throughout the city and when looking at them as a series you will get that "oh that's chicago" feeling [just as you would looking at a skyline]. i printed this on 20x24 inch paper in the darkroom and i'm really happy with it.

anyway, i thought it was pretty neat how the sculpture and the building seem to have merged and become a part of each other. art really is a part of this city ;)

this is beautiful...one of my favorite things is the light...it highlights the stellar architecture. the straight lines are so interesting...intersecting, twisting, and the curved lines of the sides of the building contrast well with those. and the angle is great...makes me feel like an ant. :D great shot!

You are right about the blending of the sculpture and the building. They seem to go together well. You also managed to capture the height of the scupture and building with this angle of the shot. The composition is also pretty good in that the top of these objects are in the upper third of this photo.
