This is a polaroid of the same statue, Cloud Gate (aka, 'the bean') in my previous image. This is taken walking beneath it. It's been under construcion for a really long time and just recently opened up; I never thought it would look like this. I was quite surprised. I like how you can see my flash repeating throughout the image.

I never actually paid attention to the fact that this is a polaroid. (Finally) having done some more work with polaroids myself, that makes this all the more amazing.

I live in chicago!!!!!! I love chicago!!!!! That is not only a great symmetrical shot, it's an awesome and
different way of interpretting the reflective powers of such a "useless bean" as some people call it. I love that sculpture, and your photograph is Fantastic!

I think I got a headache looking at this! I was soo confused….I was like “WTF?”
But that’s a good thing.
So many people have looked at this and wonder what it was, is, how you took it and have yet to figure it out. That leads us to come up what we think this could be, which is a cool concept, even if you did not intend it to be that way. I thought that this was a cave or some sort. I really hope this wins the contest or at lease comes close!

thanks for your support! :D i dont think it will win the contest, but i do think it is different from the many many water reflections there seem to be. just have to wait and see!
